Jose Luis Cifuentes, Business Development Director
Mr. Cifuentes has 15 years experience in airline industry.
Since joining LAN Airlines in 1990, he has been in charge of distribution & reservation systems area.
His achievements include:
- Dramatic cost reduction in telecommunication services (SITA and local providers)
- Deployment of the first IP private network for reservation systems in LATAM
- Host migrations
- Leading oneworld projects (reservation & distribution systems requirements)
- Leading GDSs cost reduction by continuous negotiations (including internal product development)
- Successful implementation of cost reduction initiatives (BIDT management)
- Leading e ticket implementation & massification (target is 100% by end of 2007)
- Distribution initiatives (TA Portal, Amadeus Sponsored Channel, Distribution ABC costing)
Deep knowledge of reservation, ticketing & distribution systems, and GDS cost structure.
He holds a Bachelor Engineer academic degree from the University of Santiago, and a Electronic Engineer professional degree from the same University.
Daniel Hormazábal O. CTO
Daniel has been involved in numerous IT engagement:
- Planning of Systems and Projects of Technological Transformation, in the different scopes of Architecture (People, Processes, Information, Application and Technology)
- Enterprise Application Integration (EAI), in different platforms and Legacy systems, ERP and CRM. Integration of Data and Data Quality
- Management of Quality and Continuous Improvement, in the processes of Development of Software Systems (CMMI) and Provision of Technological Services (ITIL)
- Development of J2EE applications. Training and Mentoring in this technology, supporting its incorporation in the IT organizations
Daniel has been involved in several key airline Projects, mainly in IT:
- LAN Airlines: Technical transformation, CMMI Certification and Enterprise Achitecture implementation. Solutions for Crew Management, SAP Implementation (Legacy Integration) and Customer Data Repository.
- IBM: B2C and B2B solution for major Retailers of Chile. Centre of Competence for Integration in bigest Retail and bigest CPG in Chile
- CTC: Major Telecomunication Company. Comunication Infrastructure Implementation for the Corporate Building and Management Console
- BCI: a important Chilean Bank. Solution for Application Integration (B2B) and Accountable System.
Daniel is a Electronic Engineer from Universidad de Concepción (first of its promotion) and has a PhD candidate degree in Computer from Pontificia Universidad Católica of Chile.
Sigifredo Badani H., IT Development Director
Mr. Badani has 6 years experience in information technology for airline industry, and more than 12 in technology industry.
- He has been in charge in several positions, in different companies
- IT Development Manager for Commercial Systems in LAN Airlines
- Research & Development Manager in LAN Airlines
- Information Technology Manager in Transbank (former Edibank).
- Telephony and Networking Systems Project Manager in Entel Chile.
On these positions he has been on charge of technological areas, leading strategic projects with successful results.
He holds and a Computing Engineer professional degree from Federico Santa María University.
At present has a cathedra in the school of Engineering, Central University of Chile
